Celebrating OT Week 2024 with Apricus Health: 80 Years of Connection and 3 Years of Impact

At Apricus Health, we believe in celebrating not only our team’s incredible work but also the values and milestones that bring us closer to our mission – doing it better, enhancing lives, and being proud of what we do. This OT Week was extra special as we marked 80 years of OT connecting people, improving lives, and fostering independence for individuals in need, while also marking our third anniversary! Here’s a recap of the memorable ways we celebrated both OT Week and our commitment to making a positive impact.

Kickoff Brunch at The Ville  

We kicked off OT Week 2024 with a celebratory brunch at The Ville, toasting Apricus Health’s third birthday and 80 years of OT’s dedication to connection. Surrounded by colleagues, we enjoyed a lovely meal and looked forward to the future with pride. Not every day we get to step back from the day-to-day hustle, so this kickoff was a wonderful chance for everyone to connect and recharge.  

Transforming the Office  

In the spirit of celebration, our office was transformed with colourful balloons and lively decorations, a daily reminder of the joy we bring to our work. This festive touch lifted everyone’s spirits and highlighted our clinic’s commitment to enhancing lives – starting with our own team’s environment. This lively setting kept us all motivated throughout the week and served as a cheerful nod to 80 years of OT making a difference in people’s lives.  

Day in the Life: Our OT Team in Action  

We wanted to bring everyone into the daily experiences of our OTs, so our “Day in the Life” series shined a spotlight on some of our dedicated team members: Nathan, Alyssa, Kerrie, Kelly, and Joanna. Each day, one of these incredible individuals took us behind the scenes to share the unique ways they embody doing it better. From Nathan’s detailed recommendations and Alyssa’s readiness to Kerrie’s considerate nature, Kelly’s work with children, and Joanna’s rapport with clients, this series showcased the variety, depth, and impact of our work.  

Cupcake Deliveries: A Sweet Thank You to Our Referrers  

As a heartfelt thank you to our partners and referrers, who play a key role in connecting us with the communities we serve, we delivered cupcakes to express our gratitude. These small tokens were well-received, and we were thrilled to show appreciation for the trust and collaboration that strengthened our impact. By nurturing these relationships, we strengthen the network that allows us to truly enhance lives across our community.  

What OT Week Means to Us at Apricus Health  

For us, OT Week is about more than celebration. It's a reminder of the incredible journey that occupational therapy has taken over 80 years, touching lives and empowering individuals to achieve independence. This week highlights the values we hold dear at Apricus Health. As we celebrate three years of Apricus Health’s journey, we are immensely proud of what we do and grateful for the opportunity to be part of OT’s remarkable legacy.
