Joanna Murray re-appointment to the Occupational Therapy Australia board
We are delighted to announce that our co-founder Joanna Murray has been re-appointed to the Occupational Therapy Australia Board!
The OTA is the peak professional body representing the interests of OTs across Australia. They support lifelong learning, promote the future of OT and foster evidence-based practice.
OTA is governed by a Board of Directors elected by their members and through their Nominations Committee. On the 23rd November, they announced the 2020/21 Board of Directors at their Annual General Meeting in which Joanna was a successful candidate.
‘Having been an OTA Board Director for the past 2 years my passion for the OTA purpose and strategic vision has remained as strong as it was when I first took up my role. OT, and healthcare generally, in Australia is continually evolving. We have seen significant changes in the last 5 years in the disability, aged care, private practice, not-for-profit and public sectors.’ –Joanna Murray
‘I am passionate about supporting the profession to navigate our way through changing times and our Association remains a robust force supporting, and advocating for, our members.’
‘Every Board needs people who have the passion and strategic dive to implement continued development of our industry. I am proud to say that I am in great company on this Board
